Florida Requires Enhanced Hurricane Ian Catastrophe Reporting

On December 22, 2022, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) issued a notice to the industry regarding its data call related to Hurricane Ian catastrophe claims.

The OIR is requiring enhanced catastrophe reporting for January 2023. The reporting deadline for January is:

  • Wednesday, January 11, 2023 

Data must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. ET. Insurers are to report Hurricane Ian claims data using the Enhanced 2022 Catastrophe Reporting Form (CRF), which includes the "Survey" tab within the CRF template. The fillable 2022 CRF template must be downloaded within the insurer's filing in Insurance Regulation Filing System (IRFS). Further information and instructions are outlined within the OIR's notice.
