Kansas Changes P&C Filing Requirements, Effective Jan. 1
On October 28, 2022, Kansas posted the following state message within SERFF outlining new property and casualty filing requirements which become effective January 1, 2023:
Effective 1-1-2023 the Kansas Insurance Department will require property and casualty form filings to include the rates/rules within the form filing if the filing includes a new form or if the filing includes a form revision that necessitates a premium rate impact. Companies shall not submit the forms, rates and rules as separate "companion" filings. In addition, if a rule change leads to a premium rate impact the rule and rates shall be submitted within the same SERFF filing.
